The journey begins!

So, it has been a few days since I have decided to do a ESL course at NZIE in Takapuna and I am so excited about the year ahead! The have rcently graduated from UOA with a Bachelors degree and was thinking about studying further when I saw an email from uni giving us innformation about NIIE course and teaching English in Korea! At first it seemed to good to be true, I mean, free furnished apartment, free airplaine tickets and NO TAX!! Then I realsied that its actually TRUE! You do the 3 week course, you do your paper work and NZIE gets you the job! How awesome is this! And its pretty good money too!

I started the course on 7th November 2011. Its been a few days, and I look forward to it everyday. I wake up in the morning, goto gym, try do some readings and look forward to the bus ride to Takapuna! And cheap bus ride too! Only $2! The process is very simple, they help you with eveything. The teachers in NZIE who are teaching the TEFL course have been through the process and have lived in Korea!

From what I can gather, its pretty similar to India, the schooling system is American, but in terms of culture and way of life. The children have to respect the adults and etc etc. I am looking forward to going through this whole process and cannot wait to get there!! More later!
